A BREIF DESCRIPTION OF OUR COMPANY

Preferred Electric Company, Inc. (PECI) is a locally owned and operated business established in 1984. Terry Lette (President) and David Howard (Vice President) are the owners of this "C" corporation. The company has an unlimited license in both North Carolina and South Carolina. PECI has 16 employees in the main office and approximately 200 electricians in the field.

Our Service Department is managed by Randy Bratton and operates 15 vans. We offer 24 hour service every day (including holidays), and our field personnel can be contacted via radio (Nextel), mobile phone, and pager, thus allowing us to respond immediately to the needs of our customers.

We have provided a great number of installations for First Union, Piedmont Natural Gas, Providence Day School, Charlotte Catholic, and Duke Energy. Some of these jobs involve installing Generators, UPS Systems, Automatic Transfer Switches, as well as pulling and terminating fiber optics, data cable, and fire alarm devices. We also provide maintenance and electrical engineering services for some well-known property management companies such as Childress Klein Properties, Spectrum Properties, Lesco, Compass Group, First Colony, and Highwood Properties. We provide office upfits and renovation services for any size job, from a single office space to over 20 floors simultaneously.

As our customer, your needs will always be met by our courteous, professional staff in a timely manner. Our central location and close proximity to our major vendors allows us to respond quickly to your needs daily or in the event of an emergency. In an effort to improve communications with our customers and within our company we have provided all of our foremen, project managers, and other key personnel with Nextel radios. We have separate fax machine just for incoming documents, and can also be reached via email.
