Who We Are.......

Preferred Electric Company, Inc. (PECI) is a locally owned and operated business established in 1984.  Terry Lette (President) and David Howard (Vice President) are the owners of this "C" corporation.  The company has an unlimited license in North Carolina,  South Carolina and Virginia.  Our coporate office is located in Charlotte, NC and supports a team of approximately 225 jobsite employees.

We have provided a great number of installations for  Time Warner Cable, Digital Realty, Food Lion, Jones Lang Lasalle, TIAA-Cref, BB&T, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Duke Energy.  Some of these jobs involve installing Generators, UPS Systems, Automatic Transfer Switches, as well as pulling and terminating Fiber Optics, Data Cable, and Fire Alarm devices.  We also provide maintenance and construction services for other well-known companies such as Childress Klein Properties, Trinity Partners, Lesco, Lincoln-Harris, Grubb & Ellis, Hines, Sygma, First Colony, and Parkway Properties.  We provide office upfits and renovation services for any size job, from a single office space to a multi story high rise.
